Sebastian Walukiewicz
Signed permanently by Sassuolo
Walukiewicz has been bought out by Sassuolo from Torino following a season-long loan spell.
Analysis: Walukiewicz will stay at Sassuolo for the foreseeable future after a productive campaign during which he was a day-one start at right-back and totaled 50 tackles, 108 clearances and 25 interceptions in 34 appearances, contributing to six clean sheets. It remains to be seen whether he'll stay on the wing or if he'll move to the middle of the defense down the line, depending on his team's plans on the transfer market.
Missing again versus Parma
Walukiewicz (lower leg) "will remain sidelined Sunday," coach Fabio Grosso stated.
Analysis: Walukiewicz didn't manage to recuperate from a knock and will be unavailable for the second straight game. Woyo Coulibaly will likely fill in again. He had been a fixture up until his recent injury, assisting once, contributing to six clean sheets and logging 46 crosses (19 accurate), 50 tackles and 108 clearances in 34 matches (33 starts).
Ruled out for Lecce match
Walukiewicz will skip Sunday's game versus Lecce due to a lower leg contusion, Sassuolo announced.
Analysis: Walukiewicz picked up a knock in training and will be re-evaluated next week ahead of the season finale. Woyo Coulibaly will step in at right-back, while either Jay Idzes (foot) or Pedro Felipe will partner Tarik Muharemovic in the middle of the defense.
